Just because they are twins it doesn’t mean that they have to like the same things. They will soon tell you want they do and do not like to share a room with their twin because they don’t like the same things as the other. If your space is too small to accomodate another bedroom then yo have to think of some ways that they can each individually express themselves with out crashing with another. There is few things you need to concern before making a twins bedroom:
- Choosing color of their bedroom is a challenge. If your twins are the opposite genders, choosing pink or blue is not a good aidea. In order to cater to the both of them, you need to choose a neutral color. Go with yelloe or taupe for a more spacious feel or even white will do good. But if their room is big ebough to separate them, you can use a line, paint one side of the room with pink while the others is blue and place their beds in their rspective places. But if you have same gender twins, then color is no problems.
- A bedroom will be great with a playing area. Designate an area in their bedroom where they can play. Utilized good storage units where your twins can keep their toys without leaving them lying around. But for different gender twins, you have to give different storage place for each one of them.
- A study area useful for the twins to study, buy them a long desk that will fit for both of them and place it against the wall. And if their bedroom is big enough, then accommodate each one of them with single desk in separate place and on opposite sides add drawers, separators or bookshelves to organize their papers, pen, and books.
- Natural lighting can be utilized to create a more spacious feel in their room. Light can instantly illuminate a space in the room, making it visually wider and larger. Artificial lighting should be used sparingly and placed in corners where it would be useful.
